Developer: Ooi Szu-Khiam
First release : 22 Oct 2015
App size: 51.3 Mb
Protect your secrets from hackers. "Secret Crypt" protect your private data from illegal access by by leveraging Apple Touch ID and iOS security enclave. Strong passcode checking through innovative 4 "digits with movements" passcode has 2,560,000 possible combinations (compared to 6-digits with 1,000,000 possible combinations) .
The first principle to keeping secrets, "if no one knows it exists then no one will ever try". The bigger picture here is more than just passwords, secrets can be your bank account numbers, true name of your maternal mother, or even your private love interest(s). However, please note "Secret Crypt" is not built to protect large files such as spreadsheets, photos and videos.
Second principle, "if no one can get to the secret then no one can attack it". Unlike other apps that encrypts data in the files stored in your iPhone/iPad, this app just stores your true secrets in the iOS security enclave.
Third, "Secret Crypt" is designed so as to keep your data off cloud services. This essentially allows you to "go dark" and keep off the surveillance grid/system.
Retrieve your private data with unique "tags" that you assign to your secret. After which, your fingerprint is checked through Touch ID. You tags that only you know!
"Secret Crypt" is design to protect yourself when you are under duress/threatened. If you enter the data protection code, "Secret Crypt" will return fake/failsafe replies that you configure. For example, you could return the distress code of your home security system to trigger an alert to the authorities, or you could return the "other" bank account number with low funds.
This can be a real life saver especially love ones are threatened as you see in the movies. This is an optional feature. Also please note that this App ("Secret Crypt") is not a personal protection application and the Author will not be held liable for any direct or indirect consequences and liabilities.
